FORMAT:
Time: Qualify at 8:10pm SA (GMT+2)
Qualify: Race 1 '20 minute unlimited laps'
Race 2 'Superpole= 1 out lap followed by 1 hot lap'

REMEMBER........1 POINT FOR POLE POSITION


Race 1: 22 Lap straight sprint with no pit stop

Race 2: 22 Lap with 1 pit stop= At least 4 tires MUST be changed. Pit stop must be completed at least 2 LAPS before the end of the race.

Both races will have a standing start.

Ballast will be added after each round, not each race.

Pretty tight track eh! The amount of elevation changes and tight turns. I spin/run wide quite easily.

How does car selection work? Do I choose whatever I want? I ran a few laps in both the Maserati and the Porsche Carrera GT1. I much prefered the Porsche, and I could keep it on track for most of a lap :-). Or is there a more n00b-friendly car to drive? I haven't fiddled with setup yet

You can choose whichever car you like, but make sure it is not one that is already selected. You can check by looking at the list above under 'The Troops: GTpro and GTam'.

can somebody upload an extracted version of it on mega/deposit or similar hoster for me. thanks

Are you using Windows 7/8? You could try running it as administrator.

1. Double-click on the track file.
2. Would open up 7-zip or WinRAR depending on which one you use.
3. Instead of double-clicking the file to extract and run, right-click it and choose 'Run as Administrator'.
4. Click 'Yes' when prompted.

I use Windows 8 and when I don't follow the steps above, I can't install the track as well. Hope this works.

It has an .exe.
After you extract the zip, right click it and run as admin. FIRST extract to your desktop!!!

I have some safety concerns about this track. Will any cows get out and wander onto the track? And do we have any guarantee that no drunk hillbillies will upset the race by parking a pickup truck and a coolerbox in the middle of the straight?

yes it helped "team" mate. that was pretty easy solution, i am a little ashamed not getting it myself.
now i need to solve my FFB problems, just tried to disassemble my F430.
but it seems to be glued. so need to brake it or wait until it stop work, so i can buy an replacement.

Yes you do. When I load the GT1 cars, the ballast will be loaded at the same time. Straight after the DTM race.

Hello I have chosen to use the Koenigsegg CCGT #103 for the GT1 challenge in the GTam division. I have also chosen to use the Audi RS5 #19 for the DTM challenge. Sorry if Iv'e posted this in the wrong place thanks

If you want I'm looking for a teammate in the GT1 championship. Although I won't be able to help you with setups if you're using a different car than I am ;-) If you wanna give a Lambo Diablo a go I can share setups with you.

To the new drivers:
Dont forget, race 2 has a pit stop. To practice this, start a race weekend race of a few laps. Map your pit in request button and pit every lap to change tires and take on fuel.
Points to remember:
The engine MUST be switched OFF before your pit crew will fuel the car. (Map your ignition button). Restart the engine while your tires are being changed (Map your start button).
The pit crew won't touch the car if you overshoot the pit boss(Guy with the clipboard). Be careful when stopping.
You cannot add fuel to the fuel in your tank. (EG. If you have 10L when you enter pits and fuel 20L, you will leave the pits with 20L). Be careful.
Try NOT to use auto pit. Some strange things happen to the car on some add on tracks. Drive the car and MAKE SURE to use the pit speed limiter(Map this on your wheel).

One thing to add is in races as short as these ALWAYS put enough fuel to lest till the end and DO NOT add fuel in pit stop as you'll only lose time (set fuel in Pit-stop strategy to 1l). This way you don't need to switch the engine off if you don't want to.

Always do pit-request and wait for confirmation otherwise you can find that the crew isn't ready and you'll lose couple of seconds. Always practice pit entry and exit and know where the pit limiter line is. It's crucial to know this as you can lose precious time that you've won in a hard battle on the track Another 'trick' for fast stops is turn off the limiter when changing tires and accelerate without it but engage just before you hit limiter speed, you'll launch much better but if you overdo you'll get a stop-and-go penalty for speeding ;-)

I had a pitstop at the DTM race last night to repair some stuff after a crash into some people parked in front of me. My steering wheel was centred about 30 degrees left. It turns out my lengthy pitstop to repair suspension did not remedy the situation, because it was actually a software driver glitch that repaired itself when I unplugged the wheel and plugged it back in. It was my first pit in this game, and I had some figuring out to do.

Anyway, I think I will drive a Porsche GT1 tomorrow night. I don't have time to try out more cars than that.
