TIMES:
The racing will start at 8:00pm SA (GMT+2)
20 minute 2 hotlap  qualify for both races
Race 1 at 8:30pm------13 laps
Race 2----13 Laps after the first race with a 10 minute break.
The racing will be 2 sprint races with NO pit stops.

POINTS:
1st....26

2nd....23

3rd....20

4th....18

5th....17

6th....16

7th....15

8th....14 and so forth till all places are full.

There are a lot of cars to choose from. Please select one and post the car number in this thread so it belongs to you for the whole season.

JOKER CARD:
This gives you Double points for one race only, but can only be used if you are 22 or more points behind the championship leader. Every driver can use it if they are more than 22 points behind. You MUST declare your going to use it BEFORE qualifying. All your points for that race will be doubled. This is to give drivers a chance to get back in the championship if they have missed races for what ever reason, but will not allow a driver to leap frog the championship leader. You may only use it once during the season

PENALTIES:= = = =The wait rule will not apply. Should a complaint be received after the race, a panel of 3 drivers, picked at random (To keep it fair) will review the race and the penalties are as follows:

1st time.....Warning

2nd time.....30 seconds will be added to the drivers race time

3rd time.....Suspended from 1 round(Both Races).

Chat during Race.....Start at back of the grid for next race.

What an absolutely disastrous night. After practicing with Peter yesterday until midnight, tonight decided - or is it Telkom that decided - that I will not race, by chucking me off the server all the time. Not a reboot and server reset helped me as midway through the second race I was again driving alone on the track. Thought this was my chance to get some points on the scoreboard!!! DAMN.....

Well done to Michal for 'just' pipping us - Kevin give him 400 kg ballast please, on his request.

Well it's 5 out of 6 for me, happy with that as I'm not a big fan of this mod. Too bad about Surfers DNF as it could well have been clean sweep.

Quali went OK, got a time I expected with not so much practice done. Was enough for P1 so very happy about it. Race was uneventful and after a good start I started immediately to put a gap to Ratang. Managed to get a better lap in the race then in qual as I got better rhythm on the track so I was gunning for second qual to get a nice trackrecord

On my first, 'safe' lap I already got mid 53 so I put everything I had on the road and in the second pass managed to get 52.7. Very happy about it and I got in good mood before Race. Started not so well this time (I couldn't see lights from the pole position) and had to defend in the first corner from Devon but as I had the inside line it was OK. Then I started putting some fast laps to make a gap and it was working until I just tried too hard to get 52's race and spun. This put me right between Devon and Ratang. I was a bit faster than both of them but it's very hard to overtake on Suzuka so I just concentrated on applying a lot of pressure on Devon harassing him in many places and sticking my bonnet on the inside a few times. It wasn't working though as he held his lines well and I was almost ready to concede when on the last lap I made a desperate effort into 130R, which he resisted but then he missed the braking point to the chicane and I was through. Very happy about it as I needed to distance myself from him in the standings



Could I please get a replay of race 2 as I would like to see my battle for the win

    A pretty unremarkable race for me for a change with no racing incidents. My race pace was about where I qualified and had a smooth event.
    The only bit of excitement I had was when I manged to pass Ruann in the second race & held him off for a couple of laps whilst he got his tyres working. Then he just left me for about 2 secs a lap. Unfortunately for him his 2nd race was over midway when he spun it under the bridge coming out of Degner 2.
    I made up another place when Christo lost his internet connection, so I got 2 good results but they were partly handed to me. My setup was very conservative again , I had used only 10% of my tyres at the end of the race, I think I need to crank it up a notch & drive a lot harder if I'm going to make further improvements in my results. 
Congrats to podiums well deserved.

I also want to see Race 2, I am proud of myself to have held you off as long as I did. Just wish I could of held onto second though. Ratang managed to squeeeeze past me on the line as I did to him Race 1 hehe.

Peter, how are you seeing your tyre info? Am I missing a mod or something?

I just took one look at the results & instantly twigged why my car was so slow.

I was driving a Z not a GTR.

       

I will probably get disqualified now so Kev can get more points.

I got mine from Documents/GTR2/ReplayData

Try sticking them in there to get them to play through your game.

To setup replays in your game click the replay menu at bottom and check timestamp replays.
You need to clean them out often or they will fill your HD.

I have replays turned off by default - with a lot of cars your game can crash in a longer race (not that this is a problem here, but I'm using standard PLR file in all installs)

Devon and myself fighting for the win in 2nd race. It was a close fight Notice a nice drift in 130R on the penultimate lap which I still have no idea how I managed to control
